90k really??

You have to feel sorry for Redcar BMX club…A pirate company called Shanco charged 90k for this!! Another example of councils not working with registered track builders. The UK has some top track building firms on the BC list so there is no excuse for outside contractors being used by councils…I hate seeing good money wasted, if you are involved in a project working with a council and they suggest not using a registered contractor with BC then you have to put your foot down or even walk away from the project! I’ve been in that position before with a local council and we won them over after standing our ground. It’s their money you’re saving in the longrun you need to convince them! There is no place in the track building industry for companies like this! #cowboys

There were some huge NBMXA nationals at Redcar back in the late 80’s…The track inside the horse racing track even had a pro section, I remember watching Geth Shooter and Tony Flemming battling it out for the Superlass win in 88 I believe? Geth was on GT and Flemdog was on Torker…Tony Hoffman was announcing Geth Shooter “as possible the fastest man on the planet” I was only 9 years old so don’t ask me how I remember but I have a wierd photographic memory for old random BMX stuff. But I’m sure I got my facts slightly twisted here and somebody will pull me up on the comments section below 🙂 (probably Mad Ady).

Flemdog am I right? I remember you and Geth nect and neck down the 2nd straight pro section… #Bignational

Hopefully Redcar get’s sorted and it’s another spot for the NE crew to ride…
