BIKE CHECK – ALAN HILL’S 2013 PURE XL AL

For years we’ve gotten used to seeing Alan Hill in the red, black and white of Redline colours. For 2013 Alan changes one of those colours; he changed the red for blue and picked up a new sponsor from the UK brand THE PURE BICYCLE COMPANY. It sure was strange seeing Hilly in different colours after all these years!

BMXTALK caught up with Alan trackside and got the lowdown on his new ride….

Alan Hill’s 2013 Pure XL AL

Mods: Frame has xxl chainstay length – Standard chainstay length a bit short after riding Redline for the last 7 years so a custom frame was build for me by YESS who build the 2013 Pure frames.

Hilly tweaks: I like a good working brake as looping out from a clipped in manual really hurts! 90 PSI in tyres for fast rolling. The seatpost extended is extended by 70mm, and I run an extra 1/2 link in the chain
