Bob Fields Grands

Sunday the 2nd of October was the 3rd anual Bob Fields Memorial Race held up at Crewe BMX Track in the North Region, the Bob Field Grands is always a great weekend of BMX Radness with loads of fun like High Jump Competitions, Pump Races and you’re always likely to see a backflip or two be thrown over the pro section. Even though it’s October the sun was out all day and the track was running fast and smooth as always (thanks to C&K Contractors) Ash Davey Took the win in both the Pump race and High Jump Competition, on the Sunday in the Elite Class, Marcus Bloomfield took the win with Kelvin Batey in 2nd and Tre Whyte in 3rd. After the racing the Bob Fields Open race is held which is an open race working in the 1 lap no crap format, which means top 4 go through everytime, after a hugely close call in the semi between Ash Davey and Billy Luckhurst (both of which swooped Andy Clucas in the last turn) Ash Davey took the 4th place in the final. Marcus Bloomfield took the win in the open for the third year in a row, with now Manchester resident Curtis Manaton in 2nd and metal loving room tider Callum Strickland in the 3rd.
