British Championships 2013

So todays the day that everyone is heading up to Birmingham BMX club for the British BMX championships, it should be a cracking weekend of racing at one of the best tracks in the country.
Perry Park track was first built in the 80’s and then fell into disrepair in the 90’s before it was rebuilt by Clark and Kent Contractors in 2010, here is a little vid of what the track looked like in the 80’s.

If tracks were still like this i would probably be winning races haha , as you can see the track has changed a lot since then , it is a proper world class facility now , this was proved in the run up to last years World Champs when teams from around the world used the track and praised it very highly.
Here is a vid of the Dutch national team riding there before the Worlds , if you can ride it like this , then you will probably end up with an 01 plate !!

So there will be thrills and spills this weekend , with a lot of the usual suspects winning , but as always with the Brits there will be a few surprises thrown in , riders will crash , and others will up there game and come away with a win.

It should be an awesome weekend of racing , i would love to see Laurence Mapp do well in Elite , he has got better and better all season and i wanna see him in the final , cos Mappy ain’t scared of anything or anyone , and thats how BMX should be!!!!!

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend , big shout to all my Team-wu and MK buddies , see you all up there…..p.s , Barnard lay off the booze this weekend , wanna see an 01 bruv.
