Info/Times etc for “Olympic Regional” This Weekend.

Here is all the info, times etc that you need for this weekends EA regional at the Olympic Park.

Registration –please register on line via the British Cycling website … 14-Round-4
There will be limited registration on the day from 0900 – 1130. THERE WILL BE NO NOVICE CLASSES AT THIS EVENT.

0900 – 1000 open practice all ages
1000 – 1030 gate practice 12 & under
1030 – 1100 gate practice 13 & over
1100 – 1130 gate practice 12 & under
1130 – 1200 gate practice 13 & over
Racing at 1230.

Gazebo bookings – £5 per 3×3, £10 per 6×3 pre booked and paid only via EA clubs – space already reserved. Gazebos can be dropped off at the ‘drop off’ point at the end of the car park – see attached site plan. On the day a member of staff will show you to your allocated spot. Please attach your gazebo to the fence and grass area only. No barbeques are allowed.

Security – the facility will be open to the public on the day therefore please look after your belongings carefully.

Parking – there is extremely limited parking at the Velopark however passengers and equipment can be dropped off at reception before making your way to Westfield to park for the day at a cost of £5.00 all day.

Pets – no dogs are allowed at Velopark.

Spectator Routes – enter the Velopark to the right of reception in front of Cycle Surgery bike shop. There will be a member of the Velopark staff to meet you and show you through the tunnel to first straight of the BMX track. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE YOUR BIKE THROUGH THE TUNNEL.
When you exit the other end of the tunnel you can either turn right to access the trader and open spectating area or through the gate and left via the road circuit to enter the gazebo area.

Rider route – there will be a staging area on the road circuit between the start hill and the car park. Please congregate here approximately 10 races before your own. You will be called forward from here and then access the pens at the top of the access slope. NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PENS.

Refreshments – the Velopark café and an extra stall will be open inside the main building and this is accessible via reception.

First Aid – will be provided by Essex Medics (the current National series provider) and they will have a treatment station near the finish line. No parents will be allowed onto the track without permission. In the event of a crash please make your way to the finish line. The local hospital is The Homerton, postcode E9 6SR.

Toilets – Please use the toilets provided – there are toilets in each of the changing rooms accessible via the entrance tunnel.

Smoking – no smoking is allowed anywhere on the Velopark.

Litter – please use the rubbish bags provided and clear up before you leave – thank you.
