Joey Gough was asked to do an interview with “Off The Top community” which is a Surf and BMX lifestyle and media page.
Bringing you insight and interviews from the Surf and BMX world in the UK and beyond.
We all know how rad Joey is and it is great to see that is being recognised by other people in different sport genres , so have a good read and share it.
Here is the intro from the page editor at Off The Top, and you can find the link at the bottom of the page for the full interview, while your are there give the page a like to.
“Whilst I was writing this interview I googled the meaning of BMX. Part of the first dictionary meaning I came across read ‘BMX began when young cyclists appropriated motocross tracks for fun, racing and stunts’
In a time where lots of competitive riders in both BMX and MTB have forgotten about the true roots and origins of their sports, I feel that Joey personifies this statement wherever and whatever she is doing on a bicycle. Just watch all of her video edits and you’ll know exactly where I’m coming from.
Joey is seriously rad and her skills transfer across a multitude of bike riding disciplines. In my opinion she is a pioneer in women’s BMX, and takes it to levels that few other women in the world can manage. On top of this she is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.
This interview is a biggy, so before you sit down to read it you might want to grab yourself a beer or a cuppa! So with out further ado, may I introduce to you 2012 BMX World Champ and trails shredder…..Goff…..take it away…….”
