London Olympic track rebuild .

So it looks like the 2012 Olympic track rebuild is almost completed , Clark and Kent have been back in there over the last month or so .
The first job was to reduce the track height by 3 mtrs , which involved moving around 30,000 tonnes of material!!!!

The whole track has been redesigned , all the berms have had to be re tarmacked , so it will be a top facility for the London area and the south of England , lets hope that a proper club is set up there and that the track gets some real use and gets to hold some big races , hopefully there will be a National race held there if the facilities can accommodate a race of that size.

It looks like the lads have done another cracking job , I will post more photos of the completed track as I get them, how many top class tracks are there in the London area now.
It is really going to benefit the southern riders having all these new tracks to ride , it has been a long time since there was a good choice of tracks to ride in the south, so all you south riders better make it count and get riding in preparation for next years National series.

Here are some photos of the original track.
