New pump track in Essex

New pump track will be opening soon in Tiptree , Essex.

After two years in the planning, a new pump track at Tiptree in Essex will be opened this half term.

Get down and support it , it looks like a lot of fun , and super BC coach Julian Allen will be on hand for training and tips, if you don’t know who Jools is ,here is a pic of him .

Here is all the info you need about the track and the opening event.
To add to the fun of the pump track’s launch, its grand opening will happen on Halloween night, which luckily this year falls during half term.

The track at the Grove Road playing field wouldn’t have been possible for CTC to build without the co-operation of Colchester Borough Council, who have directed funding towards this project and other very successful cycling programmes in the village.

We want to pay tribute to Tiptree Parish Council who had belief in our ideas to inspire young people to cycle and have supported us all the way.

Richard Monk
CTC’s Cycling Development Officer

The track will open to all on Wednesday 31 October at 11 am, with the launch event running until 2 pm. There will be coaches on hand to help those who haven’t ridden a track before and bikes will be available to encourage as many young people as possible to experience the amazing jumps and turns.

We also hope to have a very special and local celebrity in the BMX world to officially open the track.

Ian Warby CTC’s MTB Development Officer says that the fencing has been left up to allow the track to settle, but the area will be fully open for the big day!

Join the team on the 31 October for our Pumpkin Pump Track Opening!
