Whats wrong about this picture?

No GT’s Mikey Day isn’t sat on an expert bike he’s running 22” wheels aboard his GT XXXL. The 22” wheel changes the whole look of the traditional BMX; in a bad way!

When 20 and 24” wheels are already available why are the industry pursuing a new wheel diameter in the middle? It’s not just BMX but MTB too. A couple of years ago the industry rolled out 29”, now that the problem of a 29” wheel are being over come the industry throws another wheel size into the mix – the 27.5″ (650b) wheels – right between 26 and 29”.

Do these cycling disciplines of BMX and MTB need the new wheels sizes? Were the old sizes broken? or is it the industry trying to reinvent the wheel by creating a new movement or fashion to boost sales?
