Rogue State hits Kent
With the promise of sunshine (and lollypops), team Rogue State made the long journey over to the garden of England… Kent or more precisely, Gravesend for rounds 3 & 4 of the British BMX series at Cyclopark. Round 3 was a mixed bag and I’m not just talking about the weather… Harrison Pascoe-White had a bad crash in practice and sustained a fractured pelvis – Healing vibes mate & speedy recovery. But the young guns battled on through strong winds, rain & near freezing temps and did themselves proud with the highlight being Harvey Short taking 3rd in the B final – however, special mention has to go to Charlie Phipps for making his first ever Quarter final. On cue, the sun came out for Block 2 and the big boys took to the track, with a tricky side wind remaining the Pop Noodle kid aka Callum Ebbage smashed it up looking very comfortable through the moto’s, taking 6th in main in the Male 15’s. Round 4 brought much better weather and with it a renewed sense of focus for the young ‘uns – Max, Evan and Kolby all made the quarters with Sonny & Harvey both taking 3rd places in B Finals. Callum again flew the flag for North Devon working his way through to the main and taking 6th again. A really good showing from all riders on a very technical and demanding track, next stop… Scotland for rounds 5 & 6.
