This weeks top 5 tracks is from Simon Homans , I have known Simon for a long time now and he is a bit of a character , as well as being an absolute animal on a bike , when he was a kid he was always a fast and aggressive rider doing very well in Junior men classes here and abroad , then when he turned Pro at around 16 years old he started to scare the life out of the UK’s finest with his speed and attitude.
After a few years away from racing he made a comeback about 3 yrs ago riding for the Dialled Bikes team and he got better and better every season, next year he will be riding for James Christies GT UK Team.
Si has always been a crash or win racer , and that’s what people love about his style of riding , he will never give up !!!!
I have had some right laughs with “Tubs” and to this day he is the only person I have ever seen fall asleep standing up !! and i’ve witnessed this on more than one occasion.
No 1 Cyclo Park is a very good tech track with flowing rythmn straight, plus I won there this year with a double double.
No 2 Manchester indoor ,just a great facility and the tracks is also quite ,but I havent riden it with changes yet .
No 3 Bournemouth old school small track but always love riding there .
No 4 Valkenswaard in Holland -A great track, rode there a lot during 90’s and did pretty well in junior men, 2nd all way round till I flipped out , also great memories of being there with Winnie . (BMXTalk- Damn , I remember that race when you flipped out ,that was a crazy crash !!!!)
No 5 Braintree I love the 2nd straight for good speed.
Cheers Si , good luck for the 2014 season from BMXTalk HQ.
