So here is the next instalment of “Then and now”.
This week it’s everyones favourite Elite rider…..Mr Laurence Mapp, as I have said before I love Mappys riding and general balls out don’t give a f8ck attitude about racing , he just goes for it , no messing … know your in for a treat when Laurence gets on the gate.

Laurence “AMISH” Mapp.

Then – Bike

My first bike I had was just a 16inch no name brand lol, but the first named BMX was a Mongoose Menace. (I loved that bike so much no matter how much I threw it about it would never break)

Now – Bike

My current bike is a Revell XXL frame, Elevn forks, stem and bars, Chris King hubs and Profile cranks.

Then – Rider

When I was younger Gary Ellis was my all time favourite. He bossed America for a long time and I remember watching all the videos when they came out and no one could get near him.

Now – Rider

Now my favourite rider to watch is Liam Phillips. It’s been good growing up with him and traveling the world and seeing him so disappointed so many times and now there’s no stopping him.

Then – Track

My favourite all time track would have to be Farnham. That place was so far ahead of its time it is untrue. You could build that place now, stretch out the jumps a bit and it would beat half the tracks around today.
( I totally agree , Farnham was so good)

Now – Track

My favourite track now is either Birmingham or Cyclopark, as I’m torn between the two.

Then – Music

I always liked riding to Blink 182 when I was younger. Good times, good tunes.

Now – Music

I don’t listen to a lot of music now when I ride but if I was to listen to something it would be anything hip hip based.
(everyone loves a bit of hip hip …but what about some hip HOP haha)
Have some of this ……

Thanks very much mate , see ya soon.
