Good weekend in Scotland after coming back from a broken bone in my hand a week before with two 5th places on the Saturday and Sunday. Lake shoes working well in the rain and Tioga tyres no slipping on the gate in the wet. Manchester Platt fields next week for rounds 7/8.
Race report: good days racing on Saturday, winning all the motos on the cruiser and a 3rd 2nd 2nd on the 20”’. After wheel spinning on the gate on the cruiser final leaving me in last, I pulled it back to 3rd by the 1st corner, going to pass a rider on the jump out the corner I clipped his back wheel meaning I ended up spewing over the bars landing heavily on my shoulder, elbow and hip. Despite this, I got up and 12 races later I raced the 20”. I managed to pull out a win thanks to the adrenaline. The Tioga Fastr React tyres worked a treat in the wet, not wheel spinning once in the wet and no slides on the corners
Current National Ranking: 20” 2nd, Cruiser: 3rd.
Day 1 made the main following sime good results in moto’s and semis… span out in 1st turn in bad weather conditions, finished 8th. Day two made the main again and finished 7th, a bit disappointed with the result but I can see where improvements are required and will work hard to achieve my goals. Manchester is less than two weeks away and the competition will be fierce.
100% helmet did its job although a replacement is now necessary after two heavy crashes. Renthal bars were great and ODI grips kept locked on even in the monsoon rain. Lake shoes were impeccable in the bad weather and cleaned up like new. Quality RSD race shirt survived the crash.
Current National Ranking: Cruiser: 4th
My little race report, amazing weekend pulling some better results out the bag on cruiser with a 2nd and a 3rd. 20inch wasn’t as good as hoped for finishing with 8th and 7th, but that’s due to not riding it enough and not being used to that bike yet. 100% helmets are great for all weather nice and cool when the sun is blazing but warm when it’s cold and fit so comfortably.
Current National Ranking: Cruiser: 4th, 20″ 15th (only done one weekend)
