Home National and you not only pull out your first win but then back it up with your second national win in front of your screaming family…. Must have been a special weekend. What changed, Why this weekend ?

Yeah was a really good weekend for me especially to do it on my home track in front of all my crazy family. I’ve wanted to win badly for a while now and this time I just slowed down everything and approached it differently. I see the move on Bailey was possible in the first corner, took it and it paid off so grabbed the win.
Day 2 was mentally tough as my body was tired but my will to win was more than ever, I just told myself before the final I could do it again, stayed relaxed on the gate and it all just seemed to come together. I crossed the line both days with the biggest smiles so hopefully more to come.

The Bike, we have to ask. How did it all come about and who did the amazing pain job ?

The Bape bike was actually my dads idea as he is always thinking about up-ing my rides haha. Our good friend at Cole Coatings done the paint job as a one off and what an amazing job he did.

Tell us more about ODUM, What prompted you to start a clothing brand ?

Odum.. Well I’ve always been into my clothes, trainers and collecting trainers etc and always wanted to make my own stuff that other people would like also so got some designs done then came up with the main logo, found the word Odum (which means pride of lions) so it fitted perfect for what my brand represents and goes with the lion logo perfectly. Check it out on instagram @Odum_clothing & www.odumclothing.co.uk for some fresh stuff.

Do you have any pre-race routines ?

Not really, Just a couple days rest before a national, eat well and make sure I’m warm before I do each race, Pretty basic haha.
I don’t like to over complicate things, Just make sure I take a deep breath on the gate then I’m good to go.

Any Thanks ?

Biggest thanks to my Dad who takes me all over the world and supports me 110% on and off the bike, Yess BMX for all the team stuff, my family & girlfriend for supporting me all the time and thank you to Bmxtalk for the feature and interview.
